Original listing · kept for referenceCompany Description
QTREX Quantum Ltd. (Nasdaq: QTEX) is a technology company focused on advanced connectivity and electronics manufacturing solutions for next-generation hardware markets.
The Company develops high-density, thermally optimized quantum connectivity solutions for dilution cryostats, and advances Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME) applications for defense, aerospace, missile, space, and other mission-critical environments.
Our AME printing systems combine precision inkjet printing, advanced materials, software, motion control, and vision technologies in a single system.
Role Description
• Design and simulate RF/microwave components and subsystems across the qubit control and readout signal chain, from concept through validation
• Develop and validate cryogenic RF signal chains, including attenuation and filtering budgets, thermal anchoring, and noise management from 300 K to the mixing chamber
• Design controlled-impedance RF PCBs, interconnect transitions, and shielding/grounding solutions
• Perform microwave measurements (VNA S-parameters, calibration, de-embedding) and correlate results against EM simulation
• Build automation and data-analysis tooling for simulation sweeps and measurement workflows
• Support system bring-up, debug, and characterization in dilution refrigerators
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members to define and flow down requirements
Required Qualifications
• BSc in EE, Applied Physics, or related field with 5+ years of RF/microwave design experience — or an MSc/PhD in a related field
• Experience with 3D EM simulation tools (HFSS, CST, or COMSOL)
• Experience with microwave measurements using a VNA (S-parameter characterization, calibration, de-embedding)
• Experience in RF PCB design and/or shielding and grounding techniques
Preferred Qualifications
• Cryogenic measurement experience (dilution refrigerator wiring, thermal anchoring, attenuation/filtering budgets)
• Design experience with passive and/or active microwave devices: filters, couplers, hybrids, matching networks, and amplifiers
• Background in superconductivity or superconducting devices
• Familiarity with microwave components in the qubit signal chain
• Scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, MATLAB)
• Experience or knowledge of 3D printing technologies for RF/microwave hardware
