About Klearly
Klearly, one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Europe, is transforming hospitality payments — and we're building our Data & Analytics function from the ground up. We're looking for someone to own it end to end — the data foundation, the dashboards, the story behind every number. It's a rare shot at shaping how a fast-growing fintech understands its own business, working closely with both Engineering and Leadership from day one.
You're the type who won't settle for "here's what happened" — you need to know why. You're technically minded, comfortable with modern data platforms, and you genuinely enjoy working alongside engineers to turn messy data into decisions people can act on.
Data Foundations & Architecture
• Own our analytics data platform — data models, pipelines, and warehouse
• Work closely with Engineering to pull in data from product databases, payment partners, and internal systems
• Keep data accurate, trusted, and clearly defined across the business
• Set up data governance and access controls, and help shape our broader data architecture and analytics stack
BI, Reporting & KPIs
• Build intuative dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) that leadership and teams actually use, not just glance at
• Bonus: Experience using modern AI development tools (e.g. Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to build custom dashboards, internal analytics tools, or reporting applications that provide a better experience than traditional BI platforms.
• Own our KPI framework and reporting cadence — weekly KPIs, monthly BI packs, consistent metrics across activation, churn, TPV, take rate, revenue, and merchant performance
• When a number moves, dig into why and bring that story to the table, not just the chart
• Partner with Finance, Product, Sales, and Leadership to keep improving how we report and think about the business
Analytics & Commercial Insights
• Use cohort, funnel, and trend analysis to spot performance drivers and catch problems early
• Dig into transaction-level data for pricing opportunities, revenue leakage, and margin improvements
• Build models to forecast TPV, revenue, merchant growth, and churn — and flag anomalies before they become problems
• Support board reporting, strategic planning, and pricing decisions
• Bonus: predictive analytics, regression analysis, time-series forecasting, or machine learning experience
AI & Automation
• Use AI and modern dev tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar) to build faster — from custom dashboards to internal tools that go beyond what traditional BI platforms offer
• Automate recurring reports so the team spends time on insight, not manual work
• Build small AI-powered tools, like natural-language querying over company data
What You Bring
• 3–6 years of experience in BI, Analytics, or Data roles, ideally within fintech, SaaS, payments, or another high-volume transactional business.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience building executive-quality dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
• Experience owning dashboards, KPIs, reporting, and analytics end to end.
• Comfortable working with code, APIs, databases, and modern data platforms. You should be able to collaborate closely with engineers and leverage modern AI development tools to rapidly prototype, automate, and solve technical problems.
• Understanding of modern analytics architectures, including data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT, SQL/NoSQL databases, and technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, DuckDB, dbt, or similar.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages is an advantage.
• You actively use AI tools to improve the quality and speed of your work.
• Relentlessly curious, with a track record of turning data into actionable business insights.
• Excited to build something from scratch with real ownership and autonomy.
• Fintech or payments experience is a strong plus.
Why This Role Is Special
You'll be the person everyone at Klearly trusts for the real numbers — building the data function from scratch, working side by side with Engineering, and shaping how the business measures success and where it's headed. Competitive salary, equity, and genuine ownership.
