Deputy CFO

Relocation to Africa!

The opportunity

The group is looking for a Deputy CFO to support the finance leadership of its Nigerian operations. This role is suited for a commercially strong finance professional who can combine control, compliance, cash discipline, and strategic business support in a demanding operating environment, while working closely with Group Management and the CFO / finance leadership.

Responsibilities

Support and help oversee finance, accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial control across the Nigerian operations.

Support cash flow management, banking relationships, working capital optimization, and funding planning.

Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to Group Management and other stakeholders.

Assist in managing tax, statutory, regulatory, and corporate compliance in Nigeria, including audit coordination.

Provide financial analysis and decision support for contracts, investments, pricing, costs, and business performance.

Support the leadership, development, and oversight of the local finance team and finance processes.

What we are looking for

Strong finance management experience, ideally in a multinational, industrial, infrastructure, maritime, logistics, or project-driven environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MA or MBA are preferred.

Strong command of financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, internal controls, tax, and compliance.

Strong IT capabilities

Experience in emerging markets is a major advantage.

Professional qualification as CPA is preferred.

Strong integrity, leadership presence, analytical ability, and communication skills.
