Serves as the safety officer, supporting safety-related functions including safety reports, investigations, communication and safety culture.
Responsibilities
• Supports the Safety Manager in implementing and managing the Safety Management System (SMS) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
• Plays a key role in fostering and strengthening the organization’s safety culture by managing the safety reporting system, driving corrective actions, and promoting effective safety communication
• Monitors and analyses safety trends, participating in risk assessments and supports the management of operational changes from a safety perspective
• Actively participates in safety audits and contributes to the development of safety assurance, oversight and evaluation tools
• Supports activities aimed at enhancing safety performance and mitigating risks
• Assists managers in identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and promoting continuous safety improvement
• Tracks safety-related corrective actions and ensures timely and effective closure
• Participates in internal and external audits
• Acts as a deputy in the absence of the Safety Manager, ensuring continuity in all safety-related matters
Education
Expirience
• At least 2 years of experience in aviation, preferably in safety management and/or compliance and/or operations.
• Pilot, Dispatcher, maintenance or Ground OPS background is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
• Proven ability to work with IT systems, especially systems for data management and analysis.
• Proven ability to cope with multiple stakeholders and communicate with top management.
• Creative yet methodical, with good analytical skills.
