System Administrator

A profitable, NASDAQ-listed global FinTech leader operating as an alternative investment management platform powered by Machine Learning.

Managing billions of dollars in assets for top-tier institutional investors, banks, and insurance firms, the company utilizes advanced predictive modeling and big data analytics to identify investment opportunities and analyze credit risk at scale.

The company employs hundreds of professionals worldwide, with around 300 driving its central R&D and data operations in Israel.

Located in central Tel Aviv (right by the train station), operating on a hybrid work model.

Role Description-

• Joining as a Linux Systems & R&D Enablement Engineer, serving as the primary technical partner for Data Science, Quantitative Research, and R&D teams.

• Owning, maintaining, and scaling the multi-user high-performance Linux server environment used for remote code execution, quantitative analysis, and machine learning model training.

• 80% focus on Linux System Administration & Infrastructure support, and ~20% DevOps engineering (CI/CD maintenance, cloud operations, automation).

• Writing and maintaining Python automation scripts, managing internal tooling, resolving undefined technical blockers, and providing operational support (including Slack channel management).

Requirements-

• 5 years of hands-on experience as a Linux Systems Administrator – Mandatory

• Deep expertise in Linux OS internal architecture, administration, and performance tuning – Mandatory

• Practical experience working in AWS Cloud environments – Mandatory

• Strong scripting capabilities in Python for infrastructure automation and tooling – Mandatory

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and DevOps methodologies – Mandatory

• Experience supporting R&D, Data Science, or research-heavy engineering teams – Advantage
