We are seeking a Safety Officer for our client, a growing airline that is part of a well-established international aviation group with operations across multiple continents. With a newly built Safety, Quality and Compliance department, our client is investing in building a strong safety culture from the ground up, and this role is central to that effort.

Location: near Tel Aviv.

Fully onsite, Sunday-Thursday

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and day-to-day management of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Emergency Response Plan (ERP)

• Manage the safety reporting system, drive corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture across the organization

• Monitor and analyse safety trends, participate in risk assessments, and support operational change management from a safety perspective

• Participate in internal and external safety audits and contribute to the development of safety assurance tools

• Assist managers in identifying hazards, implementing preventive measures, and tracking corrective action closure

• Work with teams across different countries on safety-related projects and investigations

• Act as deputy Safety Manager when needed

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in aviation - safety, compliance, or operations

• Strong IT skills, particularly for data management and analysis; experience with SMS platforms is a plus

• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and communicate clearly across all levels

• Analytical, methodical, and proactive mindset

• High level of spoken and written English

• Background as a pilot, dispatcher, maintenance technician, or ground ops professional is an advantage

• Military aviation/safety experience (IAF) is equally welcome - no civilian experience required alongside it

• Ability to travel abroad

What they offer

• Be part of building something new: join a safety team at its formation stage, with direct impact on how safety is managed across a growing airline

• Gain real international exposure: work with teams across multiple countries and build a genuinely global professional network

• Develop a recognized aviation safety career track early: whether you're transitioning from military service or stepping up from ground ops, this role gives you the formal SMS and investigations experience that opens doors in the industry

• Join a stable, internationally backed organization with a long operational track record

• Competitive salary for the Israeli aviation market
