Original listing · kept for reference

Notch is the AI operating system built for enterprises running complex, regulated operations. We deploy purpose-built agents that resolve real workflows end-to-end, compliantly and at scale across insurance and financial services.

We’re a fast-growing startup at the forefront of the AI revolution, helping companies scale smarter and cut costs. Our platform connects customer and employee interactions with back-office systems to automate complex workflows end-to-end - all delivered with the highest standards for auditability, explainability, and governance.

Backed by top-tier VCs, Notch has raised $45 million to date, including a $30 million Series A in March 2026 led by Headline, with participation from Lightspeed, Jibe Ventures, Illuminate Financial, Munich RE, and Phoenix.

About The Role

We’re seeking a Bookkeeper who takes ownership, enjoys creating order out of complexity, and is excited to build scalable finance processes from the ground up.

As a Bookkeeper at Notch, you won’t just book entries - you’ll be a strategic partner in building the finance department from the ground up. This is the first finance hire at Notch, which means you’ll have a rare opportunity to set the foundations right: processes, systems, workflows, and controls that will scale with us.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with the VP Finance across a wide range of financial domains - from day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end close to vendor management, payroll coordination, and beyond. Notch operates as a multinational company, which means you’ll be exposed to intercompany transactions, multi-currency flows, and working in English as part of your day-to-day routine.

This is a career-defining opportunity to join at the ground floor of a fast-growing AI startup where your fingerprints will be on everything finance does.

What You Will Do

• Own the full bookkeeping cycle: journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Manage and maintain our accounting system (Priority) — including day-to-day operations and helping keep our books clean and organized.

• Handle vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and payroll coordination.

• Manage intercompany transactions between our US parent and Israeli subsidiary.

• Liaise with our external accountants and tax advisors — providing them the data they need, on time.

• Help design and implement finance processes and workflows as we scale — you'll be building things, not just maintaining them.

• Coordinate on finance-related matters with internal teams (HR, Legal, Operations) and external parties in both Hebrew and English.

• Spot what's broken or missing and say something — we want a proactive partner, not just an executor.

Requirements

• You have 4+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a tech company or startup.

• You are proficient in Priority software — this is a must.

• You have solid working knowledge of Israeli bookkeeping practices, VAT, and tax requirements.

• You have experience working in (or with) a multinational structure — intercompany transactions, multi-currency bookkeeping, and working with a foreign parent company.

• Your English is strong enough to communicate professionally — reading, writing, and the occasional call.

• You are accurate and detail-oriented, and you care about keeping things tidy.

• You take ownership — when something needs to get done, you get it done.

• You’re hungry to grow: you see this role as a launchpad, not a landing spot.

Even Better If You

• Have experience in a company with a US-IL corporate structure.

• Have worked in a company that was building its finance function from scratch.

• Are comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliations and ad-hoc analysis.

• Have exposure to SaaS or tech business models.

• Have hands-on experience with Israeli statutory reporting and tax filings beyond the basics.

Our Culture

• Extreme ownership and accountability

• High standards, fast pace, and lots of freedom

• Minimal bureaucracy, evolving processes

• People who want to grow beyond a narrow role definition

• A small, commando-like team where your impact is immediate and visible
