Job Description Summary

GE Vernova needs an experienced control room operator for a hydroelectric power plant, located near Kibbutz Neve Or in the north of Beit Shan Valley.

The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the electricity production process. This role ensures the optimal service ability of station systems through fault analysis, preventive maintenance support, and routine field surveillance.

Roles and Responsibilities

• System Monitoring: Oversee control systems, electrical infrastructure, and safety equipment to ensure operational integrity.

• Maintenance & Reliability: Support preventive maintenance planning and execution; perform reliability tests in accordance with the station’s availability plan.

• Field Surveillance: Conduct routine inspections and complete checklists for surrounding equipment.

• Fault Management: Locate, analyze, and resolve system faults in real-time.

• Reporting & Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communication with shift managers, maintenance teams, and other station interfaces.

• Documentation: Write and implement standardized work procedures and routine reports.

• Technical Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office for routine reporting.

• Advantage: Previous experience working within an international company.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Technician or Engineer degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an industrial/production control room environment (mandatory).

• Shift Work: Proven ability to work in a shift-based rotation (24/7).

• Languages: High-level English (speaking and writing) is mandatory.

• Soft Skills:

• Strong decision-making ability under pressure.

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
