Reports To: Integration & Validation Team Lead
Company Overview
We are an innovative growth company in the field of silicon photonics packaging, solving one of the key challenges in enabling next-generation co-packaged optics solutions for AI infrastructure, Data Centers, and High-Performance Computing. Our multidisciplinary team combines optics and packaging expertise to bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to scalable production.
Role Overview
As an Integration & Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in the characterization, validation, and continuous improvement of advanced photonic products and assembly processes. You will work closely with R&D, process, and manufacturing teams to investigate product performance, understand failure mechanisms, develop test methodologies, and improve measurement capabilities.
This role combines hands-on laboratory work, optical characterization, data-driven analysis, automation development, and root-cause investigation. We are looking for an engineer who enjoys both working with their hands and applying analytical thinking to solve complex technical challenges.
What You Will Be Doing
• Perform optical characterization and validation of photonic devices, fiber assemblies, and packaged products
• Operate and improve automated scanning and measurement stations
• Analyze optical performance data and investigate deviations from design expectations
• Design and execute experiments to better understand product behavior, process sensitivities, and failure mechanisms
• Lead root-cause investigations for product failures, performance variations, and unexpected measurement results
• Develop automated analysis tools and laboratory utilities using Python
• Collaborate with R&D, process, mechanical, optics, and manufacturing teams to support product development and qualification
• Create and maintain test procedures, validation protocols, technical reports, and engineering documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve measurement methods, throughput, accuracy, and data quality
• Work closely with global customers, suppliers, and development partners across multiple countries and time zones
• Support project execution in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
What We Need to See
