The Molecular Nano-Optics Lab at Tel Aviv University is looking for a Laboratory Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operation of the laboratory and provide technical support for the lab's experimental activities. This is a 50% position with flexible working hours, ideal for a technically skilled experimentalist who enjoys working with advanced instrumentation and collaborating with students and researchers in a dynamic academic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced spectroscopy and optical instrumentation.

• Train and support students in the use of laboratory equipment and experimental techniques.

• Coordinate equipment procurement and liaise with vendors and university service units.

• Maintain laboratory procedures, documentation, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Physics, Physical chemistry, or a closely related field.

• Proven hands-on experience working in an experimental laboratory.

• Excellent written and spoken English.

• Strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple laboratory users.

Experience in optical spectroscopy or related experimental techniques, electronics, or programming in Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW is an advantage.
