Position Overview-
• Chip / System-on-Chip (SoC) Architect taking key technical leadership over the next-generation architecture of high-performance communication silicon (Ethernet Switch SoCs).
• Offering a prime career advancement opportunity for an experienced VLSI/ASIC Design Engineer looking to step up into a full architecture role, with no prior official title as an Architect required.
• Driving programs from initial structural research and product discovery through to high-level System Architecture design and Micro-Architecture specification definitions for highly complex logic blocks.
• Designing and mapping mission-critical subsystems, including high-throughput Packet Processors, advanced Datapaths, and complex Congestion Management modules.
• Collaborating cross-functionally alongside Core Design, Verification, and Modeling hardware squads to guide the entire silicon lifecycle from initial engineering proofs through to tape-out and production lines.
• Core Domain & Ecosystem- Chip Architecture, Micro-Architecture Design, VLSI / ASIC Engineering, Network Silicon, Ethernet Switches, NPUs, Packet Processing, Traffic Management, Datapath Optimization, and Performance Modeling.
Requirements-
• 6 years of proven professional experience strictly specializing in VLSI / ASIC Design or Micro-Architecture engineering – Mandatory (Prior official experience as a Chip Architect is NOT required; this position represents a direct promotion path).
• Deep, first-principles technical mastery in Micro-Architecture definition for complex digital blocks – Mandatory
• Extensive, production-proven experience operating in at least one of the following high-performance communication or networking domains – Mandatory:
• Ethernet Switches
• NPUs (Network Processing Units)
• NICs / SmartNICs (Network Interface Cards)
• Traffic Managers
• Fabric Switches
• High-Performance Processors / Multi-core Accelerators
