This is a senior hands-on role with broad ownership of the system’s hardware architecture and electronics development, from concept through integration, validation and production. The role may also include technical leadership of a small hardware team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead hardware architecture and complex board/system-level design.
• Own schematics, PCB layout guidance, bring-up, debugging and validation.
• Define hardware specifications, documentation and verification plans.
• Work closely with system, software, mechanics, algorithms, regulatory and manufacturing teams.
• Support EMC, safety, risk analysis and medical device compliance processes.
Requirements:
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on hardware design experience.
• Medical device experience - mandatory.
• Experience designing complex multi-board systems.
• Strong experience with digital, analog, power and communication interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with bring-up, debugging, validation and lab equipment.
• Experience with Altium, OrCAD or similar tools.
• Ability to lead technically and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
Significant Advantages:
• IEC 60601 / EMC / safety / V&V experience.
• Experience with robotics, endoscopy, surgical systems or complex medical platforms.
• Experience from concept to production / NPI.
