We are looking for an exceptional Head of Planning to lead our planning division and help shape the future of Jerusalem.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning strategy across multiple large scale urban renewal projects.
Manage the preparation and advancement of statutory plans.
Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary consultant teams including architects, transportation consultants, landscape architects, environmental consultants, infrastructure engineers and economists.
Lead planning processes with municipalities, district planning committees, government authorities and other stakeholders.
Oversee permitting and licensing processes from planning through execution.
Manage supervision and project management companies throughout the planning and implementation stages.
Develop project schedules, monitor milestones and ensure timely delivery.
Identify planning risks, develop solutions and proactively remove obstacles.
Work closely with the legal, project management and business development teams.
Present projects to public authorities, consultants, partners and stakeholders.
Requirements
At least 7 years of experience leading complex planning and statutory planning processes.
Proven experience advancing urban renewal projects.
Strong understanding of Israeli planning and building regulations.
Experience managing multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Experience working with municipalities, planning committees and government authorities.
Experience leading permitting and licensing processes.
Experience managing supervision or project management companies is a significant advantage.
Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
