Our Space and Missile Systems Division is looking for a Propulsion Project Manager to lead complex propulsion development activities, working closely with subcontractors, engineering teams, and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a key propulsion system subcontractor, including specification, development follow-up, and technical oversight.
• Lead design and development reviews with the manufacturer, customers, and factory management.
• Act as part of the System Engineering team within the project.
• Lead system-level testing activities, including engine firing tests and experimental campaigns.
• Manage cross-functional engineering teams in a matrix structure across multiple disciplines.
• Work closely with project managers in the business unit on the development of new systems and products.
• Drive complex engineering development programs from concept through validation and testing.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Aeronautical Engineering / Materials Engineering / Chemistry – Mandatory
• Experience in propulsion systems/engines – Mandatory
• At least 5 years of managerial experience (direct or matrix management) – Must
• Experience in subcontractor management – Mandatory
• Experience in the development of propulsion systems and understanding of solid or liquid rocket engine development processes, systems/engines – Advantage
