    About Sheba Negev

    Sheba, a leading medical center in Israel and worldwide, has been chosen to lead the establishment, planning, and operation of the new public hospital in Be'er Sheva, named after Shimon Peres.

    The Shimon Peres Hospital is expected to provide medical care to hundreds of thousands of residents in the southern region and serve as a central medical, academic, and social hub in the Negev.

    Spanning approximately 350 dunams (about 86 acres), the center is planned to include about 600 hospital beds in its initial phase and later expand to 2,000 beds. The new medical center will combine high-quality and equitable healthcare, clinical, academic, and research excellence, technological innovation, and a deep connection to the Negev community.

    2026 marks the year we are launching the Sheba Negev Medical Residency Program, and we are seeking medical graduates and early-career physicians who are ready to be part of something extraordinary.
