System Communication Engineer

ELTA Systems is looking for a System Communication Engineer to join its Intelligence, Communications, Cyber & EW Division.

In this role, you will take part in the design, development, and integration of advanced communication systems used in defense projects across air, land, and maritime domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead the definition and development of radio communication and satellite communication products.

• Design end-to-end communication architectures, including end devices, networking layers, applications, and inter-network connectivity.

• Define technical requirements and manage subcontractors involved in product development.

• Perform system integration activities and build complete communication networks.

• Develop and maintain technical expertise in relevant technologies, market trends, competitors, and potential partners.

• Support business activities, including proposal preparation, customer meetings, marketing efforts, and engagement with strategic partners.

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, firmware, and system engineering.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Communications – mandatory.

• M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering – advantage.

• Strong knowledge of digital communications and modem technologies – mandatory.

• Solid understanding of RF communication systems – mandatory.

• Experience in digital transceiver development – advantage.

• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers and VSAs – mandatory.

• Experience in requirements definition, system specifications, and detailed technical design documentation for firmware, software, and hardware teams – mandatory.

• Ability to work in multidisciplinary environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Experience with satellite communications – advantage.

• Experience with LOS (Line-of-Sight) communication systems – advantage.
