Original listing · kept for referenceWe are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux / Real-Time Software Engineer to join a leading defense company and take part in developing advanced Embedded Linux and Real-Time systems.
Work on complex, multidisciplinary systems, from software requirements and design through development, integration, and testing.
What will you do?
• Develop and adapt Linux drivers and user-space components for hardware boards
• Develop interfaces and integrations with simulators
• Develop Real-Time applications
• Develop software for advanced distributed laboratory systems
• Perform hardware-software integration for complex system components
Requirements
• Experience developing Real-Time or Real-Time Embedded systems using C, C++, or Python
• Experience working in Linux, Linux RT
• Experience with POSIX
• Experience with Makefiles
• Good understanding of how Linux drivers operate within the Kernel
• Familiarity with Linux driver concepts such as Char Devices, PCIe, Major/Minor numbers, and file operations (fops)
• Experience working closely with hardware, including reading electrical schematics and using lab equipment
• Integration experience – an advantage
