Data Engineer

Comblack is hiring a Data Engineer!

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining data solutions, solving complex database challenges, ensuring data quality across databases and data pipelines, and optimizing complex SQL queries. The role also includes writing functional and architectural design documents, supporting advanced analytical models, and working with enterprise data infrastructure, data warehouses, and large-scale data environments.

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related data role, with strong knowledge of Data Warehouse (DWH) concepts and ETL/ELT processes – required.

• Strong proficiency in Python – required.

• Solid understanding of business and operational processes and their implementation within a data warehouse, including experience writing functional specifications and architecture documentation – required.

• Hands-on experience working with databases, data warehouses and/or data lakes, hybrid data environments, and preparing datasets for analytics and reporting.

• Advantage: Experience with Qlik Sense or other BI platforms, Big Data and NoSQL technologies, Data Streaming and pipeline development, Machine Learning and RAG solutions, AI coding agents (such as Claude Code or Codex), search engines, or GIS platforms.
