Senior IT Systems Administrator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator to serve as the primary IT infrastructure owner for our Israel and remote operations. The role combines infrastructure administration, cloud operations, cybersecurity, business continuity, datacenter support, and end-user services. The successful candidate will work independently while supporting local and remote users, R&D teams, and global IT initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.

• Manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, virtual machines, physical servers, storage systems, and backup platforms.

• Maintain network infrastructure, VLANs, VPNs, routing, and FortiGate firewalls.

• Administer Linux servers and support cloud-based services and integrations.

• Perform backup verification, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity activities.

• Support datacenter operations including hardware installation, upgrades, cabling, and troubleshooting.

• Coordinate security remediation, infrastructure hardening, and ISO 27001 compliance activities.

• Support AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and infrastructure used by R&D teams.

• Provide end-user support, hardware deployment, and technical escalation services.

• Maintain documentation and lead infrastructure improvement projects.

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 7–10 years of hands-on Systems Administration experience.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.

• Experience with enterprise storage, backup solutions, networking, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Linux administration and infrastructure troubleshooting expertise.

• Experience operating in regulated or security-conscious environments.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure automation experience.

• PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Defender knowledge.

• Experience supporting R&D and engineering environments.

• Industry certifications such as Azure Administrator, VCP, VMCE, Fortinet, AWS, or ITIL.
