Ben-Gurion University of the Negev is seeking a Faculty IT Manager to lead and support the computing infrastructure of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including managing faculty IT operations, supporting servers and end users, overseeing websites, maintaining computing infrastructure, and leading a technical support team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage faculty-wide IT support and computing operations.

• Install, maintain, and support servers, workstations, software, and network infrastructure.

• Provide technical support and consulting to faculty and staff.

• Manage and maintain faculty and departmental websites.

• Support procurement and implementation of computing equipment.

• Maintain computing infrastructure in teaching and research laboratories.

• Ensure backup and continuity of faculty computing systems.

• Work closely with the University's Information Systems and Computing Division.

• Lead and mentor the faculty's technical support team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, or Electrical & Computer Engineering.

• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.

• Hands-on experience with PC and Mac environments, networking, and software support.

• Experience administering Microsoft and Linux servers.

• Experience writing Bash and PowerShell scripts.

• Strong troubleshooting and customer-service skills.
