Role Description

GRD Finance is looking for an experienced Head of Payroll Department to join our growing team in Netanya.

GRD Finance is a boutique accounting and financial management firm, providing professional services to Israeli companies and startups. Our services include bookkeeping for Israeli and US companies, payroll services, financial controlling, outsourced CFO services, due diligence support, and accounting projects for fundraising and IPO preparation.

We are looking for a payroll professional who can lead our payroll department, manage payroll processes end-to-end, support our team of payroll accountants, and ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the payroll department

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processes, from data collection to payslip production and reporting

• Lead, guide, and support a team of payroll accountants

• Review and approve payroll runs, while ensuring accuracy and compliance

• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and provide professional support on payroll-related matters

• Prepare and oversee reports to tax authorities, National Insurance, and other relevant entities

• Ensure compliance with Israeli payroll regulations, labor laws, and tax requirements

• Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, controls, and internal processes

• Work closely with bookkeeping, finance, and internal management teams

Requirements

• Certified Payroll Accountant certificate — mandatory

• Several years of experience in payroll, including experience managing a team

• Strong knowledge of Israeli payroll regulations, labor laws, tax requirements, and National Insurance processes

• Full proficiency with payroll systems, especially Shiklulit

• Strong management, guidance, and team leadership skills

• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Experience in an accounting or financial services firm — an advantage
