Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Engineer to lead and manage quality assurance activities throughout the entire product lifecycle-from contract review to final delivery. The job combines high-level program quality management (AS9100/ISO 9001) with a practical, hands-on approach to production floor inspections, failure analysis, and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program & Process Quality Assurance
· Manage quality activities for assigned programs from contract review through completion.
· Conduct internal quality audits to verify compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.
· Draft, update, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection reports in strict accordance with military/civilian standards and customer specifications.
· Lead and monitor quality processes at external subcontractor facilities to ensure incoming material integrity.
2. Customer Interface & Failure Analysis (CAPA)
· Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer complaints. Lead formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement robust Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
· Analyze customer acceptance standards and engineering drawings to provide accurate compliance assessments prior to production kickoff.
3. Hands-On Quality Control & Inspection
· Perform quality inspections for electronic parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
· Conduct in-process inspections throughout the assembly and Acceptance Test Procedure stages.
· Document all inspection findings, manage material review board (MRB) actions, issue non-conformance reports (NCR), and maintain tracking records.
Job Requirements
· CQE Certification (Certified Quality Engineer) – Strong Advantage.
· Valid IPC Certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620) or equivalent professional courses in aerospace wiring/soldering standards.
· Standards Expertise: In-depth knowledge and practical experience working under ISO 9001 and AS9100 regulatory frameworks.
· Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical customer specifications.
