A global technology company specializing in the development of advanced optical scanning systems for Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary R&D team.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, end-to-end engineering position with ownership of complex mechanical design activities throughout the entire product lifecycle—from concept and development through manufacturing, assembly, integration, and field support.
You will serve as a key contributor within a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with engineering, operations, manufacturing, suppliers, and global teams across multiple sites worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute complex mechanical design projects from concept to production.
Design and develop mechanisms, pneumatic systems, motorized assemblies, and opto-mechanical components.
Perform mechanical strength calculations, thermal and vibration simulations, and create manufacturing drawings and assembly documentation.
Support strategic customers remotely and assist with complex technical issues when required.
Collaborate with Procurement, NPI, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure project milestones and schedules are achieved.
Provide technical support throughout production processes, including order tracking and supplier communication.
Participate in future product development, technology evaluations, and innovative design initiatives aligned with market trends.
Work closely with global engineering and operational teams across international sites.
Requirements:
✔ B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
✔ 2-3 years of experience in multidisciplinary mechanical design
✔ Experience designing complex systems involving technologies such as:
Optical systems
Motion-control systems
Pneumatic systems
✔ Proven experience leading modules from concept through testing and validation, including hands-on work
✔ Experience in Opto-Mechanical Engineering, including design of optical and electro-optical systems and assemblies (cameras, lenses, microscopes, etc.)
✔ Strong proficiency with SolidWorks (mandatory)
✔ Experience with PDM systems – an advantage
✔ High-level English communication skills
