Software Development Engineer

We are looking for an RT Embedded Software Development Engineer to join the Engineering & Systems Division within the Missile & Space Systems Group at Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI).

The position includes:

• Developing embedded real-time software in C and C++

• Working with various processors and closely interacting with hardware in real-time environments

• Developing drivers and implementing communication protocols such as SPI, UART, I2C, UDP, and more

• Analyzing and defining software requirements, writing and executing tests, performing optimization, and supporting system integration in Host & Target environments

• Working with advanced embedded architectures, including Linux-based systems, Real-Time Embedded operating systems, and Bare Metal environments

• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including hardware, systems, integration, and testing engineers

What we’re looking for:

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science – Mandatory

• At least 5 years of experience developing Real-Time Embedded software systems – Mandatory

• Experience working with FreeRTOS – Advantage

• Knowledge and experience with Xilinx MPSoC – Significant Advantage

• Experience working with a wide range of processors – Advantage

• Experience developing BSP and Boot processes – Significant Advantage

• Experience working with Git – Advantage

• Experience working in Linux environments – Advantage

• Experience writing Python scripts – Advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
