Founding Visual Design Lead (Part-Time / Equity)

About Enlighten Enlighten is creating a new way for people to grow - combining psychology, education, and gamification into an engaging daily experience. Our goal is to help people improve their lives through engaging, bite-sized, interactive courses. We're looking for a creative designer to help define the visual identity of the product from the ground up. What You'll Do • Own and define Enlighten's visual identity and artistic direction.

• Design characters, illustrations, and visual assets for the app.

• Create engaging animations and motion graphics.

• Establish scalable AI-assisted creative workflows.

• Work closely with the founders, product, and tech teams to bring ideas to life.

• Help shape the long-term creative vision as the company grows. Requirements • Ability to define and own a unique visual style—not just execute within an existing one.

• Experience designing expressive characters (human, creature, or stylized personas).

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator) for daily production work.

• Passion for building products from the ground up.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently. Preferred (Not Required) • Ability to maintain character consistency across poses, expressions, emotions, and different contexts.

• Strong understanding of animation principles, including timing, easing, weight, and personality through motion.

• Experience creating animations for digital products or mobile apps.

• Comfortable collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.

• Experience creating style guides, design systems, or creative documentation.

• Familiarity with AI-powered creative tools and workflows.

• Willingness to take ownership and proactively suggest creative improvements. What We Offer • Founding role with equity.
