Original listing · kept for referenceWe are seeking an experienced Data Center Engineer to join our Engineering team. This role combines deep technical expertise with customer engagement in an international environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and lifecycle support of mission-critical data center infrastructure solutions.
The position requires close collaboration with customers, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple geographies, supporting projects from initial requirements gathering through deployment, commissioning, and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, architect, and engineer data center infrastructure systems, including:
• Electrical power and backup systems (UPS, generators, PDUs)
• Cooling and environmental control systems (CRAH/CRAC, hot aisle/cold aisle containment)
• Structured cabling and communications infrastructure
• Racks and supporting facility infrastructure
• Develop solutions in accordance with industry standards and best practices, including:
• Uptime Institute Tier I-IV standards
• N+1 and 2N redundancy architectures
• Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and energy-efficiency considerations
• Provide end-to-end technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle:
• Discovery and requirements analysis
• Solution design and architecture
• BOQ/BOM preparation
• Design reviews
• Installation oversight
• Commissioning and acceptance testing
• Project handover and operational support
• Serve as the primary technical interface for international customers:
• Understand business and technical requirements
• Present and defend technical solutions
• Support RFQ/RFP processes and vendor evaluations
• Provide technical consulting throughout project execution
• Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate and select Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) components and solutions.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including:
• Technical specifications
• Schematics and diagrams
• Reports
• Project documentation and records
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field).
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Proven experience with data center infrastructure solutions, including electrical systems, cooling systems, communications infrastructure, or high-availability environments.
• Demonstrated experience in data center architecture and infrastructure design.
• Native-level Hebrew.
• Fluent English, including professional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong customer-facing capabilities and willingness to work with international clients and teams.
• Availability for international travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration (MBA), or related field.
• Professional working proficiency in Spanish.
• Relevant industry certifications such as:
• CDCP / CDCS
• Uptime Institute ATS/ATD
• Other equivalent data center certifications
• Familiarity with:
• DCIM platforms
• Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure
• Industry standards such as ISO, TIA-942, and related frameworks
• Experience leading projects or working within cross-functional matrix organizations.
