Original listing · kept for referenceThe Quality & Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving product quality, reliability and compliance throughout the product lifecycle—from design and qualification through manufacturing and customer support.
The role combines quality engineering, reliability engineering, certification activities and continuous improvement. Working closely with R&D, Manufacturing and Operations, the engineer leads product qualification programs, coordinates failure modes analyses activities, supports failure investigations, manages certification activities and drives corrective and preventive actions to improve product robustness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability Engineering
• Plan, coordinate and analyze environmental qualification testing; Support product qualification and validation activities.
• Coordinate DFMEA/PFMEA activities with cross-functional teams.
• Perform reliability analyses and improvement actions based on field reports.
• Get actively involved in reliability test plans and acceptance criteria.
Quality Engineering
• Develop Quality Plans, work instructions and technical documentation for products in development.
• Lead failure investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Plan and conduct internal and external audits.
• Maintain and update quality procedures. Support maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
Compliance & Certification
• Coordinate certification projects with external laboratories and certification bodies (UL, CE, etc)
• Maintain compliance with applicable international standards and regulations (IEC, RoHS, REACH, etc)
• Prepare technical documentation required for product approvals.
• Support engineering teams during design reviews from regulatory and compliance perspectives.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Must Have:
• B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Reliability Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary electro-mechanical products.
• Fluent English (written and spoken). Hebrew required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.
• Independent and self-driven. Organized and systematic.
Preferred:
• A CQE/CQM certificate.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa).
• Experience with environmental qualification standards and tests.
• Proficiency in FMEA methodology.
• Statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in reliability analysis.
• Experience with certification activities (UL, IEC, CE or equivalent).
• Familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
