Position Overview-
• Lead / Principal Backend Engineer (Python & Distributed Systems) serving as the technical authority and founding architect for a high-throughput, real-time video processing AI platform.
• Designing and scaling distributed, event-driven backend architectures capable of ingestion, streaming, and analyzing live media pipelines at scale.
• Bridging the gap between bleeding-edge computer vision models and resilient cloud/on-premise production environments.
• Interfacing with strategic global customers to understand product constraints, map technical requirements, and drive architectural decisions.
• Mentoring core team members, establishing modern engineering workflows, and executing rigorous code reviews.
• Core Domain & Ecosystem- Backend Architecture, Python, Distributed Systems, Media Infrastructure (FFmpeg, RTSP, Live Video Ingestion), High-Throughput / Real-Time Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, Cloud Providers (AWS & GCP), On-Premise Deployments, AI & Vision Productization.
Requirements
• 6 years of robust, hands-on professional experience dedicated to backend software engineering inside scale-up or high-tech product environments – Mandatory
• Deep, expert-level programming and architectural mastery in Python – Mandatory
• Extensive, proven background designing and building Distributed Systems and high-scale, event-driven backend architectures – Mandatory
• Solid hands-on experience working with video infrastructure and streaming technologies (e.g., RTSP, FFmpeg, live video processing pipelines) – Mandatory
• Deep technical understanding of high-throughput, low-latency architectures and real-time data streaming constraints – Mandatory
• Proficient handling of modern database systems, caching strategies, and robust API design – Mandatory
• Extensive practical experience deploying infrastructure on major cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) alongside an understanding of hybrid cloud/on-premise package delivery – Mandatory
• Natural technical leader with experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving engineering excellence by example – Mandatory
