Senior DevSecOps Lead- Cloud, CI/CD & AI Security

Up Defense is a fast-growing cybersecurity company delivering hands-on services across DevSecOps, SecOps, cloud security, infrastructure security, and advanced cyber solutions.

We are looking for an experienced DevSecOps professional to lead and build our DevSecOps domain.

This is not a classic DevOps role and not a theoretical consulting position. We’re looking for a strong technical leader who understands development and infrastructure environments, can work hands-on in complex CI/CD and cloud environments, identify security gaps, and implement practical security controls across the software delivery lifecycle.

What you’ll do?

• Lead and shape the DevSecOps domain at Up Defense

• Work hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, build, deployment, release, and runtime security

• Embed security controls into development and DevOps processes

• Perform security reviews across application, infrastructure, and cloud environments

• Work closely with R&D, DevOps, SecOps, Cloud, and Security teams, as well as customer stakeholders

• Implement and improve security across Kubernetes, containers, IaC, secrets management, and application security tooling

• Use and integrate AI / AI Security tools into DevSecOps workflows

• Build methodologies, playbooks, templates, and best practices for customer environments

• Support strategic and technical security projects across the company and its clients

• Over time, help build and mentor a DevSecOps team

Qualifications

• At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, or in DevOps / SecOps roles with strong hands-on DevSecOps experience

• Hands-on experience securing CI/CD pipelines, build processes, deployment flows, and release management

• Strong familiarity with Git and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or Bitbucket

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps Pipelines, ArgoCD, or similar

• Experience securing cloud environments in AWS / Azure / GCP

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, containers, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Helm / Ansible / CloudFormation)

• Experience with security tooling such as SAST, DAST, SCA, secret scanning, container scanning, and IaC scanning

• Ability to understand application architecture, identify risks, and propose practical solutions

• Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to work with engineering teams, CISOs, and CTOs

• Experience or strong understanding of AI / AI Security tools

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as a DevSecOps Lead

• Experience working with multiple customers/projects in parallel

• Background in a cybersecurity company, product company, or technical services environment

• Experience with CNAPP / CSPM / CWPP / CIEM

• Familiarity with tools such as Wiz, Orca, Prisma Cloud, Snyk, Checkov, Mend, Veracode, SonarQube, Semgrep, GitGuardian

• Experience with API Security, WAF, Zero Trust, Identity Security, SIEM/SOAR, Incident Response, or AI Security / GenAI Security

• Experience building automations, scripts, internal tools, or DevSecOps processes from scratch
