Global HR Manager at Vegan Friendly

Full-time position from our offices in Tel Aviv

About Us

Vegan-Friendly believes that to make veganism a common lifestyle in Israel, it needs to be brought into the mainstream. Veganism should be available to the general public, accessible, accepted, and backed by educational activities and public awareness campaigns. Come take part in leading the change!

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead the Human Resources field at Vegan Friendly in a way that connects people, organization values, and strategic goals. The HR Manager will be responsible for recruiting, onboarding, guiding, developing, and retaining excellent employees who possess high capabilities, intrinsic motivation, and a genuine connection to promoting veganism.

This position serves as a strategic partnership to the organization's management, alongside full responsibility for the execution and ongoing implementation of HR processes. The goal is to build a professional, connected, and meaningful employee experience, strengthen the sense of belonging and personal development, and support the organization's growth, public impact, and organizational and economic resilience.

Responsibilities

• Managing the full recruitment lifecycle in our branches in Israel, the UK, and the USA.

• Responsibility for employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

• Employee well-being.

• Responsibility for gender equality and fairness.

What will you actually do?

• Lead the HR domain at Vegan Friendly end-to-end, both in Israel and across global operations (Israel, UK, and USA), combining systemic thinking with day-to-day, hands-on, and operational work.

• Manage full recruitment processes: from assisting managers in defining needs, characterising roles, and building the screening process, to actively sourcing candidates on relevant media and networks, screening, interviewing, guiding candidates, conducting reference checks, rejecting unsuitable candidates, and preparing offers.

• Manage and implement the onboarding program: building an organizational and individual onboarding plan to ensure high-quality integration into the organization, including updating content, tracking phase completion, and assisting with initial evaluations.

• Lead the employee experience throughout the lifecycle in the organization: onboarding, guidance, retention, well-being, conducting discussions with employees and managers, early identification of difficulties, handling ongoing challenges, and strengthening the sense of belonging, meaning, and connection to the organization's values through programs and events.

• Manage HR processes: including responsibility for gender equality/diversity domains and HR budget management, building and improving HR processes (including writing procedures and work routines), and providing ongoing responses to operational and administrative needs in the human resources field.

This is an independent HR function; therefore, the role requires a natural ability to move between advising management and leaders, leading processes, problem-solving, and hands-on work down to the smallest details.

About You

• High motivation to promote animal rights and a vegan lifestyle.

• Over a year of experience in managing and leading end-to-end recruitment processes.

• Native Hebrew speaker and excellent English (speaking and writing) - Must.

• High organizational and order skills.

• Deep understanding of HR processes, professional ethics, and relevant legal issues.

• Multitasking - excellent performance under pressure and managing multiple tasks.

• Mediation skills, excellent communication, and emotional intelligence at the highest level.

• Self-motivated, able to work independently, with high attention to detail.

• A team player with a drive to promote a positive work environment.

• Academic degree in Social Sciences / Psychology / HR Management or another relevant field - Advantage.
