Original listing · kept for referenceWe are looking for an experienced Reliability & Safety Engineer to lead reliability and safety analyses throughout the project lifecycle, from concept and design through integration, testing, and qualification.
Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Reliability & Safety Master Plans for complex engineering projects.
• Perform safety risk assessments, including PHL, PHA, SHA, and SAR analyses.
• Conduct Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for safety-critical and complex systems.
• Define and prepare safety procedures for system and subsystem testing activities.
• Perform failure investigations to identify trends, design weaknesses, and root causes.
• Execute reliability predictions for electronic assemblies, mechanical components, and complete systems.
• Perform mission reliability analyses and assessments.
• Conduct FMEA, FMECA, and process failure mode analyses.
• Analyze Built-In Test (BIT) coverage and effectiveness.
• Prepare technical reports, reliability assessments, and safety documentation.
• Develop and present technical material for design reviews and engineering milestones.
• Present findings and recommendations in design reviews, technical committees, customer meetings, and management forums.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience performing reliability and safety analyses in complex engineering environments.
• Proven experience with FMEA, FMECA, FTA, SHA, SAR, PHA, and reliability prediction methodologies.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and matrix organization.
• Strong analytical thinking and system-level understanding.
• Self-motivated, independent learner with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Background
• Experience in the Defense, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, or High-Tech industries.
