Strix Drones is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team.

We are looking for a highly skilled mechanical engineer to lead the mechanical design of a multidisciplinary product development program.

This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in the development of a complex system, with significant influence from early-stage concept design through manufacturing and deployment.

Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end mechanical design activities from concept development through production. - Design and develop complex mechanical assemblies, structures, and mechanisms. - Define, manage, and maintain mechanical interfaces with electrical and control subsystems. - Support engineering validation, manufacturing processes, and system integration across the full product lifecycle.

Requirements

- B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (M.Sc. is an advantage). - Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design and product development. - Strong background in the design of large-scale mechanical systems. - Experience with structural systems, lifting equipment, heavy machinery, or other complex mechanical systems is a significant advantage. - This position is not intended for candidates whose experience is primarily in micro-mechanics or miniature precision systems. - Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. - Strong understanding and hands-on experience with multidisciplinary systems integrating mechanics, electrical engineering, and control systems. - Broad engineering perspective, strong systems thinking, excellent interface management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 environmental testing standards is an advantage.
