Role Description The Payroll Accountant role is a full-time, onsite/hybrid position based in Bnei Brak, with the flexibility to perform part of the work from home. In this role, the Payroll Accountant will manage end-to-end payroll processes, including calculating salaries, benefits, and deductions, and ensuring accurate and timely payments. The position involves maintaining payroll records, handling payroll taxes, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The Payroll Accountant might also review and update employment contracts and coordinate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related inquiries. The role also includes working with accounting software, preparing payroll reports, and supporting ongoing improvements in payroll procedures and internal controls.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
• strong skills in Payroll Management and Payroll Services, including end-to-end processing and reconciliation.
• proficiency with Michpal Payroll Software and related payroll systems used to manage and record payroll data. (Oketz and Shiklulit is a great advantage)
• knowledge of Payroll Taxes and relevant regulations to ensure accurate calculations and compliance.
• familiarity with Employment Contracts, including interpreting and applying contractual terms to payroll.
• attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with HR, finance, and management.
• relevant proven experience in payroll accounting; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is an advantage.
• Valid Payroll Specialist Certificate from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Israel, subject to annual continuing education renewal.
• the ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time well, and adapt to evolving processes and regulations while working of several clients.
