We are looking for a System Engineer to be part of Camtek R&D, leading system-level understanding and performance across multidisciplinary domains. In this role, you will translate customer needs into robust system requirements and drive development from concept through validation.

Description

• Responsible for all aspects of system performance including definition, analysis, modeling, and simulations.

• Gather customer needs and workflows and translate them into system requirements.

• Lead systems characterization, conceptual design, feasibility studies, and V&V activities.

• Support system integration, troubleshooting, calibration, and root cause analysis.

• Contribute to UI/UX definition for new products.

• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams across R&D, marketing, and customer support.

• • Travel globally to customer sites as needed.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Engineering (Electrical, Electro-Optics or Mechanical) – required

• M.Sc. in Systems Engineering – advantage

• 5+ years of experience in multidisciplinary system development (Optics, electro-optics, motion systems, Failure Analysis, etc.) – required

• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python or other high-level programming languages – required

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal – required

• Experience and understanding of semiconductor industry processes – advantage

• Proficiency in creating technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and system architecture diagrams.

• Creative, analytical, problem-solving mindset and strong teamwork skills.

• Strong analytical skills to diagnose system failures and implement quick resolutions.

• Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot critical system issues.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams (Physics, Software Engineering, HW, Mechanical Engineering, NPI).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document system configurations and issues.
