o lead the data layer at a leading, large-scale organization. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management, technological leadership, and professional excellence of the database and data engineering domain. You will ensure our data remains a business enabler, characterized by high availability (24/7), resilience, security, and scalability.

As the department manager, you will spearhead our technological roadmap, including the implementation of a new ERP system, the transition to cloud and hybrid environments, and the adoption of advanced AI and data capabilities. You will lead a dedicated team and manage numerous external vendors, driving cross-organizational projects and work plans.

• Department Leadership: Managing the Data Infrastructure department, including 2 internal DBAs and external vendors, responsible for dozens of Oracle and SQL Server databases (including DR site).

• Technological Vision: Leading the data layer infrastructure and application architecture, setting standards and best practices, and mentoring development and application teams.

• Performance & Optimization: Ensuring mission-critical systems (e.g., ERP) operate at peak performance. Performing Hands-on performance tuning for complex queries, indices, and procedures.

• Hybrid Data Environments: Planning and managing On-Prem and Cloud (AWS/Azure) configurations, focusing on security, availability, disaster recovery, and load balancing.

• Modernization & Strategy: Planning and executing multi-year roadmaps for data layer modernization, migration, and platform upgrades.

• Vendor & Project Management: Managing vendors based on output and SLA, leading large-scale infrastructure projects, and managing tender processes and FinOps considerations.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems – Mandatory.

• Management Experience: At least 5 years in a leadership role (Team Leader/Manager) of Data Infrastructure/DBA teams – Mandatory.

• Hands-on Experience: At least 10 years of practical experience in managing enterprise databases (at least 5 years with Oracle, at least 3 years with SQL Server) – Mandatory.

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Performance Tuning, complex query optimization, and troubleshooting in production environments – Mandatory.

• Development Skills: Strong SQL development background (stored procedures, indexing, modeling) – Mandatory.

• Enterprise Systems: Experience with ERP systems and understanding application performance patterns – Mandatory.

• Cloud & Hybrid: Experience in managing hybrid data environments (On-Prem + Cloud/Azure/AWS) – A significant advantage.
