The way we interact with live feed video is broken. Most videos in the world are never understood. Every day, billions of cameras capture trillions of hours of footage, yet organizations still rely on humans to find what matters.

We are building an AI Operating System for Video—a platform that can watch, understand, investigate, and act on video at scale. Today, we work with enterprise customers, governments, and critical infrastructure organizations. Tomorrow, we aim to define how the world interacts with visual information.

What We Are Looking For

We're NOT looking for a traditional manager. We're looking for the person who can make thousands of cameras think. You will lead the technical future of the company and its entire R&D department, Engineers and research alike.

• Recruit and mentor highly exceptional engineering and research talent.

• Make critical architectural decisions that directly impact customers, product capabilities, infrastructure, and company strategy.

• Operate at founder speed, challenge long-standing assumptions, and build aggressively.

• Hands-on role: Roughly 50% of your time will be spent on active development, architecture reviews, and technical contribution.

• Well-known with Engineering best practices and SDLC -> ADLC to re-shape the way we work and operate.

• Building agentic systems capable of advanced reasoning over large-scale video data.

• Scaling highly performant AI pipelines across thousands of concurrent live video streams.

• Turning cutting-edge research breakthroughs into production systems - and doing it FAST.

• Deploying mission-critical AI environments where downtime is not an option.

• Designing robust systems that run seamlessly across cloud, edge, on-premise, and air-gapped environments.

• Creating engineering leverage that allows a small, agile team to outperform much larger organizations.

• Building the elite engineering team that will get us to the next growth milestone.

Technical Leadership & Core Expertise

You possess deep, hands-on expertise across most of the following domains:

• Organizational Leadership: Proven track record of leading engineering teams while remaining fully capable of contributing technically through architecture and design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and hands-on development.

• Production AI Systems: Demonstrated success scaling production-grade AI systems, safely navigating the transition from experimental research to enterprise customer scale.

• Agentic AI Architectures: Expertise with modern LLM orchestration, intelligent autonomous agents, and cutting-edge SOTA open-source models.

• High-Performance AI Infrastructure: Strong knowledge of GPU optimization, distributed workloads, the NVIDIA ecosystem, Kubernetes, Docker, and hybrid cloud/on-prem deployment frameworks.

• Distributed Systems Design: Deep knowledge in architecting mission-critical distributed systems with strict requirements around ultra-low latency, multi-nine reliability, high availability, and complete fault tolerance.

Advantages:

• Computer Vision Systems: Deep understanding of VLMs, embedding models, object detection, object tracking, multi-camera tracking, ReID, video understanding, and real-time inference pipelines.

• Large-Scale Video Infrastructure: Practical experience with RTSP, WebRTC, and HLS streaming protocols; video ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics across thousands of concurrent streams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

▪ Architecture & Technology

Own architecture across AI models, infrastructure, near real time video pipelines, and varied deployment environments. Make strategic technical decisions that scale seamlessly with company growth, establishing elite engineering standards without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

▪ Execution & Delivery

Translate business priorities directly into engineering execution. Create clarity in highly fast-moving environments. Drive delivery with urgency, remove technical roadblocks, and push teams toward outcomes rather than activity.

▪ Build the R&D Culture and Process

Build the R&D Processes to produce a lean mean killer machine that is working in Sync. Including leveraging LLM capabilities and best practices to drive development forward.

▪ Reliability & Customer Trust

Obsess over latency, high uptime, and ultimate customer success. Build resilient systems that continue working when real time conditions

▪ Cross-Functional Leadership

Work directly with key customers, product management, operations, and executive leadership. Represent technical credibility in enterprise and high-stakes government engagements, helping shape overall company strategy.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major video surveillance platforms or Video Management Systems (VMS).

• Familiarity with secure government deployments and air-gapped environments.

• Prior work adhering to compliance certifications and FedRAMP-like environments.
