Backend Team Lead

A high-growth Security startup currently operating in stealth mode, developing an AI-native security platform and autonomous Agent designed to streamline security operations and incident response into a unified interface.

The solution modernizes legacy operational systems (e.g., Jira) to empower SOC analysts and security teams to investigate, manage, and resolve cyber incidents with significantly greater speed and efficiency.

Backed by top-tier global security venture capital funds following a major funding round. The company currently employs a lean team of around fifteen professionals and is rapidly expanding its core R&D division.

Located in central Tel Aviv with immediate access to both main train and Light Rail lines, operating on a full-time in-office model.

Role Description-

• Joining as a Backend / Full-Stack Development Team Lead managing a core team of 6 engineers, reporting directly to the CTO.

• Maintaining a hands-on approach (30–50%) while leading technical execution, architecture, and team delivery.

• Developing backend architecture in Python (~80%) on AWS, integrated with React frontend components and cutting-edge LLM capabilities.

• Driving best practices, system design, and AI-driven automation for next-generation cyber security workflows.

Requirements-

• Proven management experience leading software engineering teams – Mandatory

• Strong hands-on backend development experience in Python, Go, or Node.js – Mandatory

• Hands-on development experience in cloud environments (AWS preferred) – Mandatory

• Professional background from Cyber Security companies – Mandatory

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university OR background from an elite military technological unit – Mandatory

• Hands-on development experience with React / Frontend technologies – Advantage

• Experience developing with or integrating LLMs – Advantage
