Role Overview
RSI in Migdal HaEmek is seeking an Engineering & Programs Manager for a senior and pivotal role within our operations organization.
This position uniquely combines the management of the Operational Engineering department—leading process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and configuration control—with cross-functional Program Management across all operational departments, including Engineering, IT, Procurement, Planning, and Manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will drive manufacturing process optimization, solve complex shop-floor issues through Root Cause Analysis and CAPA, manage ECO processes, lead NPI, and collaborate closely with R&D to improve design for manufacturability. You will also introduce Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, manage risks, build work plans, deliver crisp "One Pager" reports to the VP of Operations, and champion operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Team Leadership: Manage the operational engineering team, including process engineers, manufacturing engineers, and configuration control specialists.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement manufacturing processes, work instructions, and operating procedures.
• Floor Support: Provide ongoing engineering support to the production floor, ensuring active engineering presence in the production lines.
• Quality & Problem Solving: Conduct root cause investigations for manufacturing failures (CAPA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Equipment & Validation: Ensure manufacturing equipment continuity, process validations, and testing methodologies.
• Change Management: Take full ownership of the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process and the controlled release of engineering changes.
• NPI Leadership: Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure seamless transfer from R&D to mass production.
• Program Management: Implement and drive program management methodologies across the entire Operations organization.
• Project Execution: Manage work plans, risks, milestones, resources, and status reports.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor Project Managers, Change Owners, and Solution Owners.
• Budgeting: Manage the department budget while driving cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.
• Executive Reporting: Provide routine, accurate, and data-driven reporting (including One Pagers) to the VP of Operations.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Leadership Experience: 5+ years in a managerial role leading engineering or operational teams.
• Domain Expertise: Proven track record in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or operational engineering.
• Methodologies: Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently using project management tools.
• Standards & Regulations: Deep experience with ECO, NPI, GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with data-driven decision-making skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional matrix teams.
• Languages: High proficiency in both Hebrew and English (written and spoken).
