Original listing · kept for referenceAgora is a leading SaaS and FinTech platform transforming how real estate investment firms manage their capital, investors, and operations. Trusted by 1000+ GPs, owners/operators, and investment firms globally, we help teams streamline the full lifecycle of investment management - from fundraising and onboarding to reporting, distributions, tax, and back-office automation. But we’re more than just software. We’re a team of bold thinkers, innovators, and real estate enthusiasts who believe complex processes should feel simple. Our platform combines modern technology with expert services, helping our customers raise more capital, deliver a better investor experience, and scale their businesses smarter. Agora is backed by top-tier VCs like Insight Partners and Qumra Capital, and we’re growing fast. We’ve been named one of Globes’ Most Promising Startups , recognized as a Best Start-Up Companies to Work For by Duns 100, and one of Business Insider’s Hottest PropTech Startups . About the role: Agora is building the accounting and tax practice that real estate firms actually want - one that runs on modern tooling, clean process, and people who know the asset class cold. We work with sponsors, funds, and operators across the US, including those with foreign investors and offshore capital structures. Our team is small, opinionated, and tech-forward: we expect everyone to use AI in their day-to-day work, not just talk about it. We're hiring three roles to build out the tax practice. Our senior reviewer and primary client touchpoint on assigned engagements. You'll review partnership returns, manage the day-to-day relationship with clients, mentor junior preparers, and oversee work coming back from offshore teams. This is the role where the practice's quality bar is enforced. What you'll do • Review federal and state partnership returns for real estate clients before they go to CPA sign-off. • Serve as the critical point of contact for clients on assigned engagements - planning conversations, mid-year questions, deliverable timing, K-1 escalations. • Manage and develop junior preparers; give reviewer comments that actually teach. • Oversee offshore prep teams: set expectations, review their output, close the loop on quality. • Escalate novel or complex matters to the CPA with a clean point of view, not just a question. • Help refine the firm's workpaper standards, review checklists, and AI/automation workflows.
Requirements: • 5+ years in public accounting, with meaningful review-side experience. • Partnership tax expertise with a real estate focus. • Experience with foreign investors and offshore investment structures - preferred. • Experience working with offshore/outsourced teams - a plus. • CPA or EA license - preferred. • Tech-forward; comfortable adopting new tools and AI co-pilots into the review workflow. • Strong communicator - clients trust you, juniors learn from you, the CPA can rely on your judgment. • CCH experience/knowledge is a plus Why this role Real ownership of client relationships, a clear path to senior leadership, and a firm that's building the tooling around you instead of expecting you to run on spreadsheets and Outlook forever.
