    Located in the Central area with transit access, operating on a hybrid model.

    Position Overview

    • Optomechanical Integration & Automation Engineer joining a multidisciplinary R&D team of physicists and hardware engineers.

    • Responsible for designing, implementing, and automating test processes for optical systems.

    • Handling physical assembly and integration of complex optomechanical and fiber-optic components.

    • Building automation scripts to interface with laboratory test equipment and collect physical data.

    • Troubleshooting system-level issues across hardware and automated testing environments.

    • Core Domain & Ecosystem- opt mechanics, Electro-Optics, Lab Automation, Free-Space Optics, Fiber Optics, Hardware Integration, Lab Test Equipment (Oscilloscopes, Tunable Lasers).

    Requirements

    • Academic Background: M.Sc. in Physics, Electro-Optics Engineering, or a related technical degree/diploma – Mandatory

    • 5+ years of hands-on experience working in an optics or optomechanics laboratory – Mandatory

    • Proven experience working with lab test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, tunable lasers, waveform generators) – Mandatory

    • Hands-on experience in optomechanical assembly (e.g., translation stages, fiber alignment, free-space optics, and optical bonding/gluing) – Mandatory

    • Scripting experience for lab automation (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) – Strong Advantage

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate well within a multidisciplinary team – Mandatory
