Role Description The High Speed Board Designer will work in a full-time, remote capacity, designing and optimizing high-speed printed circuit boards (PCBs) for semiconductor test tools and probe-based solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing schematics, performing signal integrity and power integrity analysis, selecting components, and ensuring compliance with design rules and industry standards. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, firmware, and test engineering teams to translate system requirements into robust board designs, as well as supporting NPI activities and design reviews. The designer will prepare documentation, work with manufacturing and assembly partners, and assist in troubleshooting and improving existing designs based on test data and customer feedback. The position requires proactive communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks in a fast-paced R&D environment. Qualifications

    • Strong proficiency in high-speed PCB design, including schematic capture, layout, and routing for high-frequency and high-density boards.

    • Experience with signal integrity and power integrity analysis tools and methods, including impedance control, differential pair routing, and EMI/EMC considerations.

    • Hands-on familiarity with industry-standard EDA/PCB design software (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics or similar).

    • Knowledge of semiconductor test environments, probe technologies, and hardware design for high-speed digital and mixed-signal systems.

    • Understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles, including collaboration with assembly lines and NPI workflows.

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

    • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, create clear design documentation, and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

    • Experience in automated test systems or semiconductor industry environments is an advantage.
