Original listing · kept for referenceWe are hiring an Asset management Specialist to join our R&D department. In this role you will own the full lifecycle of our technical assets from cloud infrastructure and specialized software to on-prem hardware while working closely with our DevOps team to support environment stability and resource optimization. Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain a centralized CMDB, moving beyond spreadsheets to a scalable, automated system for tracking hardware, cloud instances, and virtual environments.
• Design and launch the ITAM program: policies, naming conventions, lifecycle stages, and ownership across cloud and on-prem.
• Monitor cloud consumption and resource utilization.
• Manage technical renewals (SaaS, per-core, BYOL) and hardware warranties using a proactive alert system (90/60/30 days) to ensure zero service interruptions.
• Drive the renewal workflow end to end: notify owners, coordinate with vendors and Procurement, and make sure nothing lapses.
• Provide hands-on assistance to the DevOps team in environment provisioning, infrastructure maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Key Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of complex software licensing models (subscription, per-core, per-sear, enterprise agreements).
• Ability to log into consoles, navigate complex CLI/GUI interfaces, and extract necessary data independently.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of defining processes in a dynamic R&D environment. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ITAM/CMDB platforms (e.g., Jira Assets, Snipe-IT, ServiceNow).
• Ability to write basic scripts (Python/Bash/PowerShell) for data automation.
• Experience integrating asset data with ticketing (Zendesk, Jira SM, ServiceNow) or discovery/monitoring tools.
