About JLL

JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) is a leading professional services firm specialising in real estate and investment management. With operations in over 80 countries and a team of more than 110,000 people worldwide, JLL shapes the future of real estate for a better world.

Role Summary

JLL is seeking a controller for one its Israel legal entity. This is a critical, standalone role that owns the end-to-end financial cycle of the Israeli entity: from rigorous month-end close execution within JLL's Group reporting calendar, through to statutory compliance, local taxation, and regulatory adherence.

The role demands a technically strong controller who is equally at home driving a tight monthly close as they are navigating Israeli tax law. It sits within the EMEA Controllership function (47 countries, 5 business lines, $3.5B gross revenue) and contributes directly to the region's agenda of simplifying, standardizing, and scaling finance operations globally.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End Close & Group Reporting (Primary Focus)

• Own and drive the full month-end close for the Israeli legal entity within JLL's strict Group reporting deadlines, with zero tolerance for late submissions.

• Execute all period-end journal entries: accruals, prepayments, depreciation, intercompany eliminations, revenue recognition, and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Prepare and deliver monthly P&L and balance sheet packages in accordance with JLL's Group accounting policies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Manage the intercompany reconciliation and sign-off process, resolving mismatches with counterpart entities within the EMEA close timetable.

• Produce and review monthly flux analysis variance with clear commentary for the EMEA Controller and business stakeholders.

• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled and certified on a monthly basis with supporting documentation audit-ready at all times.

• Coordinate with the EMEA Regional Finance team and Group Consolidation to meet quarterly and year-end Group reporting requirements, including audit support schedules.

• Act as the primary point of contact for Group Finance on any Israel-specific queries during the close and consolidation process.

• Drive continuous improvement of the close process — reduce cycle time, eliminate manual steps, and strengthen controls in line with JLL's global standardization agenda.

Tax Compliance & Advisory

• Own all Israeli tax obligations: corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and any other applicable levies — filing accurately and on time.

• Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements in coordination with the regional and global tax team.

• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and the Israeli Tax Authority (ITA) on assessments, queries, and audits.

• Monitor and interpret Israeli tax law changes, proactively advising the EMEA Controller on entity-level impacts.

• Ensure tax positions are fully reflected in the monthly close and Group reporting packs.

Statutory Reporting & Financial Compliance

• Prepare and file annual statutory financial statements in accordance with Israeli GAAP and applicable IFRS requirements.

• Ensure full compliance with the Israeli Companies Registrar, Ministry of Finance, and other regulatory bodies.

• Coordinate the annual external audit process, acting as the primary contact for local auditors.

• Maintain and enforce robust internal controls over financial reporting; ensure SOX-relevant controls are documented and operating effectively where applicable.

Entity Management & Governance

• Act as a key finance contact for the Israeli legal entity, coordinating with local management, HR, and Legal.

• Manage all corporate secretarial and regulatory filings relevant to the entity's legal standing.

• Support intercompany billing, cost allocations, and settlement processes with other JLL entities.

• Partner with the EMEA Controllership team to align local practices with regional standardization and system implementation initiatives.

Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Support the rollout and embedding of JLL's global ERP and reporting tools within the Israeli entity.

• Identify and implement opportunities to automate and streamline close and compliance processes — solving issues at source rather than through manual workarounds.

• Maintain complete, auditable financial records in compliance with Israeli law and JLL's global retention policies.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Israeli CPA licence (Roa Heshbon – רואה חשבון) – mandatory, non-negotiable.

• Big 4 background (Deloitte, PwC, EY, or KPMG) — audit or advisory experience in a multinational or financial services environment strongly preferred.

• Minimum 5–7 years of post-qualification experience, with a proven track record of owning a month-end close and delivering to tight Group reporting deadlines.

• Deep working knowledge of Israeli tax law, VAT regulations, transfer pricing rules, and statutory reporting standards.

• Solid understanding of USGAAP as applied within a multinational Group consolidation context preferred.

• Proven experience managing relationships with the Israeli Tax Authority, external auditors, and Group Finance teams.

• Fluency in Hebrew (written and spoken) and strong professional proficiency in English — all Group reporting and EMEA communications are in English.

• Experience working within an ERP environment (Priority, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent); comfortable operating within structured Group chart of accounts and reporting templates.

• Highly organised, deadline-driven, and capable of managing a complex close independently with minimal oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior in-house controller experience at a foreign multinational's Israeli subsidiary, with direct Group reporting responsibilities.

• Hands-on experience with close automation, blackline-style reconciliation tools, or tax technology platforms.

• Background in real estate, professional services, or financial services sectors.

• Exposure to SOX compliance or equivalent internal controls frameworks.

What We Offer

• A Senior Associate II (P3) position with direct access to the EMEA Controller and exposure to a complex, multi-country finance organization.

• The opportunity to own an entire legal entity's finance function — close, tax, compliance — with full accountability and visibility.

• Active involvement in JLL's EMEA simplification and scaling agenda, with real influence on how the Israeli entity operates within the Group.

• Competitive compensation package aligned with Israeli market benchmarks.

• A rigorous, values-driven environment that rewards precision, initiative, and continuous improvement.

JLL is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
