Role Description: The Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will hold a full-time, on-site academic appointment at the School of Mechanical Engineering in Tel Aviv-Yafo. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting high-quality research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and seeking external research funding. The role involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising student projects and theses, and developing innovative mechanical engineering curricula. The faculty member will participate in departmental and university committees, contribute to academic administration, and engage in professional and community outreach activities. Collaboration with other researchers and industry partners is encouraged to advance the School’s mission in education, research, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• International postdoctoral experience is strongly recommended with a proven publication record.

• Demonstrated research excellence, including a strong publication record and potential or experience in securing competitive research funding.

• Experience in university-level teaching, with the ability to design and deliver rigorous courses and supervise student research.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary and diverse academic environment.

• Evidence of potential for academic leadership, service contributions to the department and university, and engagement with industry or professional organizations.

• Commitment to inclusive teaching practices and mentorship of students from varied backgrounds.
