For our site in Modiin, we are looking for a Mechanical Procurement Team Leader
You will lead a team of buyers and supplier managers in the mechanical domain, with end-to-end responsibility for procurement processes – from supplier sourcing to ensuring the availability of materials, parts, and assemblies. In this role you will
Manage and lead a mechanical procurement team of 5–6 professionals, including buyers and supplier managers
Drive procurement activities in the mechanical domain in line with work plans and project needs
Manage end-to-end procurement processes: supplier sourcing, RFQ management, negotiations, purchase order issuance, and delivery follow-up
Manage supplier relationships in Israel and abroad with responsibility for availability, quality, cost, and service
Conduct ongoing supplier performance monitoring and lead corrective actions and improvements
Handle escalations, bottlenecks, and supply chain risks while developing alternatives and providing rapid solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional interfaces: engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and finance
Lead cost reduction, trade terms improvement, and efficiency initiatives
Mentor and develop team members professionally, fostering growth and empowerment
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in procurement, with emphasis on technical/mechanical procurement
Experience in managing a professional team
Experience in commercial negotiations with suppliers in Israel and internationally
Technical understanding of the mechanical domain, including parts, assemblies, manufacturing processes, and drawing reading
Familiarity with ERP systems
Proficiency in Hebrew and English
Ability to lead, prioritize, and make decisions in a multi-interface environment under pressure
