About Cellebrite

Cellebrite’s (Nasdaq: CLBT) mission is to enable its customers to protect and save lives, accelerate justice, and preserve privacy in communities around the world. Cellebrite is a global leader in Digital Intelligence solutions for the public and private sectors, empowering organizations to master the complexities of legally sanctioned forensic investigations by streamlining intelligence processes. Trusted by thousands of leading agencies and companies globally, Cellebrite’s Digital Intelligence platform and solutions transform how customers collect, review, analyze, and manage investigative digital data in legally sanctioned investigations.

What is your mission?

The Applications Research Team within our elite Forensic Research Group is looking for a brilliant Researcher to drive the future of digital forensics.

In this role, you won't just look at data—you will decode the hidden digital footprints left behind by the world’s most widely used software.

Our team specializes in the deep-dive analysis, reverse engineering, and decoding of complex 3rd-party applications across mobile platforms. Your mission will be to tear down binary formats, dissect custom encryption protocols, and reconstruct application data from the ground up. If you look at an encrypted database or an undocumented binary format and see a puzzle that must be solved, this is where you belong.

What you will love about your mission:

Bleeding-Edge Tech Stack: Break open complex, obfuscated 3rd-party applications using advanced static and dynamic analysis.

Next-Gen AI Workflow: You will work in a highly modernized research environment, leveraging AI agents, LLMs, and custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations (like IDA and JADX MCPs) to supercharge your reverse engineering and accelerate discovery.

Impactful Coding: Translate your research breakthroughs directly into high-quality production code (primarily C#) that will be deployed globally to solve real-world cases.

Continuous Innovation: Move fast between hunting for hidden application artifacts, reverse-engineering proprietary file formats, and building intelligent automation tools.

Requirements:

The superpowers we are looking for:

• The Foundation: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience from an elite IDF tech unit (e.g., 8200, 81, Matzpen).

• The Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in security research, reverse engineering, or digital forensics.

• The RE Toolkit: Hands-on experience with static and dynamic reverse engineering tools—if IDA Pro, JADX, Frida, and Ghidra are your bread and butter, you’ll fit right in.

• The Code: Strong programming skills, with a focus on C#

• The AI Mindset: Familiarity with or strong interest in integrating LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI tools into your daily research and coding pipelines.

• The Drive: An unstoppable curiosity and passion for solving highly complex puzzles.

Advantages that will make you stand out:

• Experience with mobile application security, sandbox bypassing, or root/jailbreak detection.

• Deep understanding of internal database structures (SQLite, Realm, etc.).

• Familiarity with cryptographic concepts and custom protocol analysis.
