    Our laboratory is expanding and looking for applicants for a PhD research positions in the field of mitosis and DNA damage. Our research if focused on the role of MAD2L2 in mitosis and transleasion synthesis (TLS). We are currently developing a MAD2L2 inhibitor that will prevent TLS activity. TLS inhibition is a new strategy in cancer treatment to improve the sensitivity to DNA damaging-chemotherapy.

    We are growing lab, looking for talented people to join our research and develop of the MAD2L2 inhibitor and explore the effect of this inhibitor on the other roles of MAD2L2. Applicants should be independent and motivated, with academic education in biology and cancer. A strong background in molecular and cellular biology is an advantage. Position starts at January 2027

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct independent and collaborative research

    • Develop and implement experimental/theoretical methodologies.

    • Analyze and interpret data.

    • Prepare manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

    • Present research findings at conferences and seminars.

    • Mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong background in molecular and cellular biology

    • Proven track record of research excellence , publications (post-doc only)

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
