Original listing · kept for referenceFrontend Tech Lead
Plaee is a leading provider of turnkey technology for the next generation of Prediction Markets. We help operators launch and scale platforms fast, with deep liquidity and cutting-edge trading technology. Our dual-track solution spans a fully CFTC-regulated US infrastructure and a global DeFi platform with self-custodial, on-chain execution. PlaeeOS unifies back-office, CRM, and BI into a single command center, giving operators real-time data to drive personalized engagement and loyalty.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in our Ramat Gan office. As Frontend Tech Lead, you'll own the architecture and technical direction of our user-facing platform — a widget ecosystem of embeddable, configuration-driven components deployed across many operator sites. You'll set technical standards, make the high-leverage architectural calls, and mentor a team of frontend engineers while staying hands-on in the code.
This role is for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment and wants to shape how a complex frontend system scales.
What You'll Do
• Lead frontend architecture for a large React/TypeScript monorepo — set patterns, draw the boundaries between shared libraries and applications, and keep the codebase scalable as it grows.
• Own the embeddable widget ecosystem — design reusable web components that operators can drop into any site, with clean APIs, theming, and runtime configuration.
• Design configuration-driven systems — build the framework that lets widgets be customized (branding, behavior, i18n, feature flags) without code changes per operator.
• Drive component-driven development — champion a strong, documented component library (Storybook) and design-system discipline.
• Set and enforce engineering standards — code quality, performance budgets, testing, and review practices.
• Mentor and unblock the team — review designs and PRs, grow engineers, and lead by example in the code.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and backend to turn requirements into well-architected, performant features.
• Own performance and reliability — profile, troubleshoot, and optimize across responsive, real-time interfaces.
Qualifications
• 7+ years of frontend development experience, with a track record of technical leadership (tech lead, lead engineer, or architect).
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React, including advanced patterns, state management, and performance optimization.
• Proven experience architecting complex frontend systems — module/monorepo structure, shared component libraries, and clear separation of concerns.
• Hands-on experience building reusable components or embeddable widgets (web components / custom elements a strong plus).
• Experience designing configuration- or data-driven UIs that adapt behavior without code changes.
• Strong background in component-driven development and Storybook.
• Solid grasp of backend integration — REST/realtime APIs, auth, and data contracts.
• Mastery of responsive web design and building user-centered apps with attention to performance and usability.
• Proficiency with Git and agile collaboration workflows.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Nx or similar monorepo tooling.
• Next.js experience.
• Strapi CMS experience.
• Experience with real-time technologies (WebSockets, Socket.io, Pusher).
• Background in fintech, trading, gaming, or other regulated/high-performance domains.
