About ReasonLabs

ReasonLabs is building the next generation of AI-powered fraud prevention.

As online scams become more sophisticated, driven by generative AI and social engineering, our mission is to help people recognize, prevent, and stop fraud before it happens.

Our flagship product, Mozo, combines proprietary AI models, real-time threat detection, and one of the world's largest consumer fraud datasets to protect millions of users from scams across email, messaging, social media, web, and mobile.

ReasonLabs brings together deep expertise in cybersecurity, AI, and large-scale consumer products. Today, we operate with a lean, highly technical team focused on solving one of the fastest-growing cybersecurity challenges.

About the Role

We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead the development of Mozo, our strategic AI fraud prevention platform.

This role reports directly to the CEO and will lead a group of experienced engineering leaders across AI, Mobile, Backend, and Infrastructure. Rather than managing day-to-day execution, you will be responsible for setting the technical direction, enabling high-performing teams, and ensuring engineering delivers meaningful business impact.

You will work closely with Product, Business, and Research to translate ambitious product goals into scalable, production-ready solutions. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building organizations, making technical decisions, mentoring strong engineers, and driving execution in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering organization behind Mozo, our AI-powered fraud prevention platform

• Manage and mentor engineering managers and technical leaders across multiple disciplines

• Define technical strategy, architecture, and engineering best practices

• Partner closely with Product, Business, and Research to execute the product roadmap

• Drive adoption of modern AI technologies and agent-based systems across the engineering organization

• Build scalable engineering processes while maintaining speed and execution quality

• Develop engineering talent and help build a strong technical culture

• Ensure engineering decisions create measurable business impact

What We're Looking For?

• Proven experience building or leading engineering teams, preferably in startup environments

• Strong experience developing AI agents or agent-based systems in production

• Hands-on technical background with the ability to lead technical discussions and architectural decisions

• Experience working closely with Product teams to deliver customer-facing products

• A builder mindset with a passion for creating, improving, and scaling engineering organizations

Preferred

• Experience in Cybersecurity, Fraud Prevention, Fintech, Identity, or Trust and Safety

• Experience building high-scale distributed systems, infrastructure platforms, or consumer web/mobile products

• Experience leading engineering managers or technical leads

• Previous experience in fast-growing technology companies

Why Join ReasonLabs?

This is an opportunity to join a company solving one of the most important cybersecurity problems of the coming decade.

You'll work alongside an exceptional leadership team with a strong track record of building successful technology companies. You'll have the freedom to influence technical direction, introduce new technologies, and help shape the future of AI-powered fraud prevention.

If you enjoy building products, leading outstanding engineers, and working at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, and consumer technology, you'll find both the challenge and the opportunity to make a lasting impact here.
