About the firm: Schear Immigration Law Firm is a boutique immigration law firm in Tel Aviv specializing in U.S. business and family immigration law. The firm represents both individuals and multinational corporations in a wide variety of complex immigration matters, including petition based temporary and permanent work visa applications, maintenance and abandonment of legal permanent residence status, renunciation of U.S. citizenship and consular processing matters.

Responsibilities include:

• Launching and overseeing immigration filings for corporate and private clients

• Setting up and inviting teams to collaborate through dedicated software systems

• Updating and tracking data flows in our customized application suite

• Supporting attorneys with document management

• Ensuring translation requests for documents are handled properly

• Managing and updating profiles in our immigration case management system

• Updating statuses on internal boards for various filings either in progress or closed

• Reviewing submissions checklists and coordinating with our vendors

• Leading consular processing including opening of US Embassy accounts on behalf of clients

• Review of DS-160s (online non-immigrant visa applications) and preparation of consular processing packs ahead of Embassy interviews

• Scheduling of US Embassy interviews and a prep call with our team in advance

• Review of passport status updates via the Department of State website

• Communication with clients on visa processing and passport status updates

• Updating our immigration software for future expiration dates on issued visas

• Occasional “light” translations (Hebrew to English) and ad hoc tasks

General requirements/skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in law

• Highly detail oriented

• Ability to work independently

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• The ability to relate and communicate to clients and people at all levels

• Native level English a must; advanced level Hebrew preferred

• Faultless spelling and grammar

• The ability to effectively prioritize and administer tasks as well as flexibility to do occasional work outside of office hours

Preferred requirements/skills:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a business, IT operations or legal setting

• Prior experience in immigration law is an advantage but not a must

• Degree in law and / or experience as an attorney in a fast pace, legal setting
